Ear or Auricular Acupuncture is a complimentary therapy where acupuncture points on the outer ear are stimulated. Using either needles, magnets or stainless steel press balls, many chronic symptoms may be relieved.

There are as many as two hundred acupuncture points on the outer ear, each point named generally after an area of our anatomy, i.e. lung, kidney, knees, hips, liver, heart, etc. The outer ear acts like a switchboard to the brain. Each acupoint on the ear, when stimulated, triggers electrical impulses from the ear, via the brain, to the specific area of the body that is being treated. For example, if someone has a cold, by treating the "lung" acupoint on the ear, it will help alleviate congestion.
