Our Community Involvement

 Wellness Within Chiropractic is an active member of the Greater Easthampton Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Wilton was elected to the Board of Directors in 2005, served as Vice President in 2006, and has participated in many local events.

 Derrill's Race: Since 2004, Wellness Within Chiropractic has sponsored a 5K Run with all the proceeds going to charity. Derrill's Race is named in honor of Easthampton Police Officer Derrill Stoddard, who was patient, prior to losing his battle with leukemia. The race, which is held on the beautiful Manhan Rail Trail behind Wellness Within Chiropractic's office, has raised thousands of dollars each year for the Cam Neely Leukemia foundation and has established a local scholarship to benefit students who will be continuing their educqation in the field of law enforcement or criminal justice. Wellness Within has co-adopted a one mile section of the new Manhan Rail Trail, a 5-mile bike path that will eventually link to Northampton and surrounding towns. The popular trail is located behind the Wellness Within Chiropractic office and is well loved by Emit, the Well Adjusted Wonder Dog.

- The "Dr. Shelley A. Wilton Scholarship Award"
- In 2004, Dr. Wilton established a 10,000 endowment to provide a $500. scholarship for an Easthampton student or student resident who is active in the community.

 Dr. Wilton serves on the White Brook Middle School council, the local middle school. She often gives health assemblies on the importance of proper nutrition, backpack safety and other subjects. Each fall, Wellness Within Chiropractic conducts a backpack and school supply drive for WBMS. For more information on how you can be involved in this worthwhile event, link here. |
 Dr. Wilton is also a member of the Kiwanis Club International (Southampton/ Easthampton Chapter). She serves as a liason to the Easthampton High School Key Club.
